HEX SHAFTS:  We're currently out of stock, but can order more.

The shaft itself is made from six individually machined triangles, all from the same piece of wood. Extremely-low-tolerance engineering enables the laminating process to produce superior shaft strength which is higher than that achieved if it were a standard wood-dowel arrowshaft. In addition, each shaft is individually examined to ensure quality control.

The difference Hexshafts make can also be seen in the arrow-making process. Nock-Grain orientation is not required, since the edge-grain is uniform throughout the shaft.

Due to the unique structure of the hexshaft, as arrows cure they do not shrink "out of round" as standard-grain arrows will.  When applying cresting to a hexshaft, you will notice that the circumference is uniform as the arrow turns, therefore allowing finer and more consistent color lines.
